24 Hours of Fire cancelled

Notice: To all esteemed members of the Lower Farm Historic Preservation and Sustainability Council, respected and favored Friends of the Lower Farm and persons of the general public be notified that the Lower Farm Autumn Workshop 2011 is cancelled.

Friends of The Lower Farm in Hollywood and Washington DC have repeatedly inquired “When is the next Lower Farm Workshop?”. Albuquerque and Denver are also waiting to be notified. Workshops held at the farm allows others to enjoy the splendid beauty of northern New Mexico and the Land of Enchantment. To take a retreat at this 150 year old adobe home on a rural farm is a magic experience.

Cancellation of the Autumn Workshop is primarily due to the matter of other responsibilities I am attending to in Hawaii.

What I had planned was to present some classes on safety, home inspection, winter preparedness and preventive maintenance. I thought about things that needed to get done around the farm before winter set in. I thought about the four elements, earth, air, fire, water. November nights are a time to think about fire. Bringing people together around a fire seemed like a natural thing to do. The invitation below is what I came up with. 24 Hours of Fire. Going to have to post pone this workshop for now but I’m looking forward to a good time doing this  some time later. A Hui Hou.
